  1. In the meanwhile, cook the bacon as recommended on the package, until desired consistency.
  2. Add the olive oil and the butter and let the butter melt. Throw the unfrozen peas and let the peas warm through, for about 3-5 minutes. Season with the salt and smoked paprika. If you have some fresh herbs such as thyme or oregano, they will be a great addition. Remove the pan from heat.
  3. Drain then return the mushrooms in the pan. Cook for an additional 5 minutes or until they start turning golden brown, stirring frequently.
  4. I like cooking mushrooms in a dry pan, but you can choose a more convenient technique. So, heat the frying pan over medium-high heat and add the mushrooms. Cook, stirring, for about 5 minutes - by this time they should produce a lot of water.
